K9 German Shepherd Dog Statue with Custom Police Shield

The memorial will honor K-9 heroes, specifically Cadaver Dogs that located human remains more than 2 weeks after the Twin Towers collapsed on 9/11/01. These search and rescue dogs bravely sought signs of life in the smoldering ruins. We aim to memorialize their dedication and sacrifice in a beautiful natural reserve.

Guide Dog roselle Helped Blind Owner to safety

On September 11, 2001, two guide dogs, Roselle and Salty, played heroic roles in the rescue of their owners during the World Trade Center attacks. Roselle, guided by Michael Hingson, led him down 78 flights of stairs in the North Tower, while Salty, guided by Omar Rivera, navigated down 70 floors in the same tower. Both dogs helped their owners reach safety amidst the chaos and destruction.
