Support 9/11 Memorials

 On September 11, 2001, two guide dogs, Roselle and Salty, played heroic roles in the rescue of their owners during the World Trade Center attacks. Roselle, guided by Michael Hingson, led him down 78 flights of stairs in the North Tower, while Salty, guided by Omar Rivera, navigated down 70 floors in the same tower. Both dogs helped their owners reach safety amidst the chaos and destruction.  

K9 Sirius was a yellow Labrador retriever who served as a bomb-detection dog with the Port Authority Police Department (PAPD) in New York and New Jersey. He was tragically killed during the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center, where he was stationed. Sirius was the only police dog to die in the attacks. Learn more...
