Survivor: Brian Clark's 9/11 Memory

 Brian Clark had as close as an encounter as one could have on the historical day of September 11, 2001.  He was on the 84th floor of the South tower of the World Trade Center when it was hit by an airplane in what would be known as the worst terror attack on U.S. soil.  

Ron DiFrancesco's Last Moments

After witnessing the first plane hit the North Tower, and receiving a concerned phone call from a friend in Canada, Ron decided to begin exiting the South Tower. As Ron headed towards the 84th floor elevators the second plane slammed into his building.

Remembering 9/11: Stories of Resilience

The stories captured in the organization named "Project Rebirth" All rights reserved. Their film library inspires them and stimulate meaningful discussions and lessons that explore how resilience, gratitude, empathy, and caring for others can emerge from life’s greatest challenges. Through PROJECT REBIRTH'S films, the viewer witnesses history through the strength of the human spirit over the years, and learns how individuals can recover and thrive in the aftermath of tragedy and challenge.


PROJECT REBIRTH makes its closed-captioned films and content available to educators, community leaders and organizations to share lessons of human strength and resilience in the years following the 9/11 attacks. For both those who lived through 9/11 and those who were not born by that day, they provide a unique resource to better understand New York's recovery from the attacks and the strength of its community, through the stories told by what we have preserved are nine people whose faces you may recognize.
